The Strathalbyn Racing Club is the largest provincial training facility in South Australia. The training facilities include the course proper with a grass racing surface over a circumference of 1690m with the length of the home straight being 340m, an inner grass training track for training and also a sand galloping track. This race track is renowned for the hill on the turn into the home straight.
All racing tracks have a fully automated irrigation system with water secured through a joint project with the Alexandrina Council. This allows for significantly improved maintenance of all tracks.
